List of Infrastructure and facilities

SubCtech GmbH is located in the Industrial Business Centre of Wellsee, Kiel. We provide professional development and production services.
Our customer is our partner and our customer’s satisfaction has priority. We are proud to provide full professional service through all phases from pre-consulting to after-sales.

High Quality

We are certified by ISO 9001:2015 and manufacture according to ISO 13628-6 / API17F for design and operation of subsea production systems. Our qualified workshop and engineers are educated for IPC-A-600/610 class 3 production.

Mechanical Workshop

We manufacture our products in our own CNC workshop. Series production is produced in collaboration with our partners. The machines we provide are able to produce components as well as whole prototypes.

Mechanical Design

For mechanical designs we use the latest version of SolidWorks professional CAD in our own HP workstation, including simulation tools. We can provide 3D models of our design to be integrated into customers‘ projects.

Electronic Workshop

Our electronic workshop is equipped with all necessary machines such as a reflow oven. Electronic boards including SMD designs can be produced professionally by either our semi-automatic production line or in series by external companies. The electronic workshop is fully ESD proven and supervised by our trained ESD staff.

Electronic Design

For all electronic designs we use professional E-CAD software in our own HP workstation. External companies monitor and verify the IPC-A-600 class 3 production. Design, construction, assembling and test are performed within the company.

Pressure Test Facilities

Pressure tests up to 600 Bar and 1000 Bar can be performed at GEOMAR research centre, including pressure certifications. A large Ø1m x 1,5m tank up to 600 Bar is available at our network partner University of Rostock nearby.

Environmental Test Facilities

For environmental tests such as temperature and humidity, SubCtech uses its own laboratory equipped with a BINDER climate chamber. This equipment is well known for reliable stability testing and precise maintenance of climate conditions. From programming to documentation, our climate test lab meets all critical requirements. Externally accredited laboratories perform shock and vibration according API17F, MIL-STD 810G tests as well as EMC tests.

Scientific Support

We cooperate with institutes, research centres and universities to keep up with the current state of scientific knowledge and research. We also have an internal development department to be able to offer state-of-the-art products to our clients. Our research partners are e.g. AWI, GEOMAR, Fraunhofer Gesellschaft, University Kiel and Flensburg (Germany), IFRMER (France), NIOZ (The Netherlands), NIVA (Norway), SOA (China), KIOST (Korea).

Mostly all calibrations can be supplied. Being specialized on pCO2 systems, we can provide our own calibration facility. Reference calibrations are provided by our partners and sensor specialists. 3rd party instruments are calibrated by the manufacturer – we provide the full package solution.

We aim to satisfy the customers‘ requirements by providing lifelong support from the beginning to the end of the project and beyond. Our support starts with pre-consulting while designing the project. The after-sales support includes training sessions, installation support on board, and many other tailored services.
